MEDVIEW PATIENT FAQ

How will MedView help me?
MedView will allow your healthcare professional to access your critical medication information, providing them with a single, accurate view of all your medications.

Who can view or access my medication information?
Health practitioners who are registered with MedView will be able to access your Medicines List. In the future, you will be able to view your Medicines List as well.

How much of my medication history will be in MedView?
The last 24 months.

Can I see what is in my MedView record?
Not yet; at the moment, only health professionals can see what is in MedView. In the future, you will be able to register yourself and view your MedView details.

How do you ensure my data is secure?
Refer to the Privacy Policy.

How do I participate in MedView?
For now, only your Health Professional can register you for MedView. In the future, you will be able to register yourself and your family members.

Can I register my child for MedView?
Yes. At the moment, your children need to be registered by your health professional. In the future, you will be able to register them yourself through MedView.

I’m not an Australian resident; can I still register for Medview?
Yes, if you have a Medicare Card. You need a Medicare Card Number to register for MedView.

Can I unregister from MedView?
Yes, you can do this at any time. If you need to withdraw your consent, please submit the Withdrawal of Consent Form.
